I will be teaching Israeli dance at Limmud Bay Area, so Latishya will be running the June 25, 2016, Nirkoda! session. Aside from being an accomplished dancers, which you all know, she performed, taught, and DJed in Boston before coming to the Bay Area. She's going to run a wonderful session, so make sure to be there!
We are now accepting credit cards or PayPal for regular session. Note that a 60 cent fee is added to cover the cost of credit card processing. You can either pay on this website, or you can ask Aaron to swipe your credit card at the session.
I'm pleased and excited to announce that Karina, Loui, and I will be putting on an End-of-the-Year Party! We know that you can't go two weeks without Israeli dancing, and with the Sunnyvale CC and Palo Alto JCC closures, you'll go crazy without your Israeli dance fix. So, the three of us are co-hosting a party on Monday, December 21, and we hope you'll join us!
Location: Congregation Etz Chayim (where I usually do Nirkoda! parties)
4161 Alma Street, Palo Alto
When: Mon., Dec. 21, 2015, 8:30-11:30 PM
Take a look here for the newest batch of Nirkoda! dates. Note that September's party moved a week later to the 26th (I'm going to a wedding the week before). Still working on December and January dates, but those should be finalized soon. Of course, don't forget that next month (June 13, 2015) we have Sagi Azran visiting!
I'm very excited to announce that SAGI AZRAN will be joining us as a special guest teacher on June 13, 2015. Sagi is originally from Israel but now lives in Los Angeles. He runs two weekly sessions, and this year started the fantastically successful MachoLA dance camp. He's also the the choreographer of two dances that we have quickly embraced as favorites — At K'mo Ha'ruach and Hi Lo At.
I'm adding June 13, 2015, to the list of Nirkoda! dates for next year.
Here is the first batch of dates for 2015! I'm working with Etz Chayim to add one more in June, but that's TBD.
- January 10
- February 21
- March 21
- April 18
- May 16
- August 15
- September 19
My ankle is healing steadily, but I'm still not ready to lead a session on Oct. 25. So, I'm going to cancel that party. However, I will definitely be ready for Nov. 15!
For the Labor Day weekend, I was at G'vanim (the dance camp in Pennsylvania) having a wonderful time... until I sprained my ankle! I went to the doctor, who told me that fortunately, I didn't fracture anything, but I did injure the deltoid ligament, which is a fairly serious sprain. I hate to do it, but given the circumstances, I'm canceling the Sept. 20 Nirkoda party. I hope to resume the published schedule with the Oct. 25 party, but I'll have to see what the orthopedist says. I'll keep you informed.
