Staying in the Bay...

I hope you'll excuse a bit of self-indulgence on my part. A few of you know that over the past 7 months or so, I've been applying to various graduate schools, and some of those schools were not in other locations (L.A., Boston). There was a distinct possibility I would have to move and give up Nirkoda! Well, last Thursday, I accepted admission at Stanford, which means that I'll be staying in the Bay Area, and I plan to continue Nirkoda! on Saturday without any changes. I'll be setting up the rest of the 2014 dates and announcing them here, on Facebook, and via email. So, yalla!

Themes for Jan., Mar., and Apr. Parties!

We've got themes for the next three parties! Tu B'shevat (Jan. 19) -- so lots of fresh and dried fruit to nosh on. Mardi Gras (Mar. 2) -- a small homage to New Orleans with some Cajun snacks. Lag B'Omer (Apr. 27) -- I promise we won't light any bonfires in the middle of the dance floor, just snacks and decorations.

Details, as always, can be found on the Nirkoda! @Stanford page.

Announcing Nirkoda! @Stanford; Subbing for Loui

First off, I'm very excited to announce the start of NIRKODA! @STANFORD. I'm going to be hosting an Israeli Dance party on Saturday nights at Stanford Hillel semi-regularly (about every 6 weeks). Details (and flyers and emails and Facebook invites and a dedicated page on this website) will be forthcoming, but for now, the tentative start date is October 6. There next two will be in early December and mid-January. It's an event you won't want to miss!
